The copper panels on the front of this handcrafted, Spanish colonial desk have a beautiful patina, and the patina will become more interesting with each pasting year. The front of the desk has three, extraordinary, large, hand hammered and hand tooled copper panels, and each copper panel has a hand tooled, geometric design with hand forged copper conchos in each corner. The center section of the bowed, open top of this keyhole style desk is embellished with rich, patterned, full grain leather in a rectangular design. The leather is hand tacked to the top with lovely, gilt nails, and the top rim is adorned with a hand carved, twist rope design. Centered below the top rim is a small, rectangular drawer, and there is a hand forged, iron handle centered in the drawer. On each side of the centered drawer are two additional rectangular drawers, all with hand forged, iron handles in their center. The lower drawers are the largest. The front of the desk has a solid wood, curved apron, and each lateral side of the desk has a rectangular cut design. The desk rest on lovely, hand turned legs, and it is made with the best, sustainable, solid wood available. It is 100% customizable.
