The junctions of the cowhide are painstaking sewn together with a dark, leather cord. Also, the leather is hand tacked to the solid wood frame with decorative, gilt nails. Centered in the curved, Spanish colonial style, front apron is a gorgeous, large, hand carved heart. The heart is surrounded with hand carved, floral details, and this design is repeated on the lateral sides of the bench. The apron has a multicolored leather braid that runs through its entire top.
