With its gorgeous, Baroque details, this marvelous, handcrafted, Spanish colonial style bed will be the focal point of your home décor.
The front of the headboard has two, gold accented, geometric shaped panels. Each panel is adorned with an original, Peruvian, religious oil painting, and above each painting are arched, hand carved, gold finished, scroll designs. The headboard has a straight, top molding, and the molding is accented with a distressed, gold finish. Below the top molding are small, gold finished, hand carved, geometric details.
The bed is framed with solid wood uprights, and each upright is embellished with lovely, hand carved, floral details. The footboard is built into a bench, and the bench features a wide seat, and the seat is designed with two sections. Each section is upholstered with red, patterned, full grain leather, and the same red upholstery covers the inside portion of the armrests. All of the upholstery is precision hand tacked to the frame with beautiful, gilt nails. The bench has a rectangular, solid wood, seat back, and the top of the seat back is padded and covered with red, patterned, full grain leather. The red, patterned upholstery is repeated on the sides of the seatback, and the upholstery flows downward and covers the top of the armrests. The seat back has two, arched panels, and each panel is enhanced with elegant, hand carved, floral designs. The floral designs within the panels are finished with a distressed, gold stain. The front of the bench has a curved, Spanish colonial style apron, and the apron is highlighted with two, antique, gold stained, floral designs. A distressed, gold finish also garnishes the bottom of the apron. The bench is supported in front by sturdy, hand turned, ball style feet, and the bed has a solid wood, structural base.
