The bed has a rectangular footboard, and the front and the back of the footboard are upholstered in matching, full grain leather, but without any button tufting. The lateral sides of the footboard are accented with solid wood, curved details, and the footboard has a rounded, upholstered top. The side rails are also upholstered in the same, full grain leather. The junctions of the upholstery are double stitched together for extra strength and durability, and the leather is hand tacked to the frame with lovely, gilt nails.
