The upper front of this handcrafted, solid wood bookcase has an open design with two shelves on its front. The frame is embellished with carved āvā or inverted āvā designs, and the details are accented with a carved dot. Turned finals enhance each corner of its top. The shelves rest on a wide countertop, and below its rim are two rectangular doors. The carved designs of the upper frame are repeated on the drawers, and carved native designs are included on the face of the drawers. Centered in each drawer is a forged iron pull handle. The center of the frame has a large open area, with a rectangular cabinet door on each side. Each door is enriched with carved details and forged iron accessories. The lateral sides of the bookcase have rectangular panels, and each panel is enhanced with matching carved details. It rest on elegant turned feet and it has a lovely light finish.
