This handcrafted chair is a continuation of the highly detailed decorative design that represents fine Baroque style furniture. This highly ornate style can be seen in the beautiful, decorative, gilt nails used in the design of this chair. The gold color of the decorative nails and the precise placement of each nail give the chair a rich and elaborate look. The upholstery is painstakingly hand tacked to the entire wood frame with these lovely, gilt nails. Both sides of the seat back are upholstered with intricate, embossed, brown full grain leather, and the seat is upholstered in rich, brown full grain leather. The semi-arched seat back features a centered hand carved floral design, with exquisite floral details ending in scrolled ends. The skirt on the lower front of the chair is elegantly curved and has hand carved floral designs and scrolling. The cabriole legs are elaborately hand carved with floral details and end in tapered feet. The legs are joined by a midway “H” stretcher with a hand carved centered shell with floral designs.
