This handcrafted chair was designed and built in a Spanish colonial style and represents a continuation of centuries of artisanal craftsmanship. The seat and the inside seat back of this custom chair are upholstered in dark full grain leather, and the reverse seat back is upholstered in real cowhide. The upholstery is precision hand tacked with small decorative nails on the base of the seat, and with large decorative nails on the seat back. The armrest of this custom chair are beautifully curved and are hand carved with ornate scrolling, floral details, and reed designs. The entire base of the seat is decorated with different sized gilt nails in the form of a cross. The solid wood legs are hand turned and the front legs terminate in block feet. The legs are joined by an “H” wood turned stretcher, and the front stretcher panel is highly decorated with ornate, hand carved, floral designs. The chair is made with the best, sustainable, solid wood available, and it is 100% customizable.
